It was my indignant toddler, at the age of 3, who inspired my author journey with a candid, ‘Don’t talk about that!’  That small but hilarious response to a fortuitous fart, ignited a spark for a picture book story idea. It was funny, real, relatable and raw. 

Inspired to practice what I preach I now throw myself into every kid lit opportunity I can—manuscript assessments, bootcamps, structural edits, competitions, author workshops and writing communities. I have my debut picture book published by Woodslane Press out in the world this July 2026.   My journey with publishing began in 2024  when I self-published, ‘Bad Day to be a Berry.' ‘Neil the Seal’s Salty Tantrum,’ also made a splash landing onto the shortlist for the Jackie Hosking Spring Competition 2024.
